Lawrence Perry, CPM, CGAP
Deputy Auditor and Audit Supervisor
Lawrence Perry has worked in the Office of the District of Columbia Auditor (ODCA) as the Deputy Auditor since 2005. As Deputy Auditor, he supports the Auditor on communication and administrative operations within the office. Lawrence also supervises audit teams and provides direction to the office’s auditors, analysts and support staff.
Before joining ODCA, Lawrence held the positions of Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Inspections and Evaluations, Director of Planning and Inspections, and Senior Management Analyst in the District of Columbia Office of the Inspector General in the Inspections and Evaluations Division. Prior to beginning his career with the District of Columbia government in 2000, Lawrence was a Senior Premium Auditor with several private insurance companies in Texas and Georgia.
Lawrence is a Certified Public Manager (CPM), Certified Government Audit Professional (CGAP) and an active member of the Institute for Internal Auditors. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Houston.
