Program Support Specialist
April brings more than 20 years of experience in case management, workforce development, customer service, and administrative support to her position as ODCA’s Program Support Specialist. As a member of our team since 2022, she is responsible for daily office management as well as supporting projects of the auditing, human resources, and information technology (IT) staff.
Before joining ODCA, April was an unemployment compensation claims examiner with the D.C. Department of Employment Services (DOES) from 2012 to 2021. From 2021 to 2022 she was a workforce development specialist for the DOES District of Columbia Infrastructure Academy (DCIA).
While at DOES, April successfully assisted three commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class B Training cohorts and three IT Helpdesk Training (CompTIA A+ Certification) cohorts, and processed thousands of unemployment claims.
When not working to improve the economy, efficiency, and accountability of the District government, April enjoys live concerts of all genres, traveling, viewing model homes, assisting, and spending time with seniors, and creating lasting memories with family and friends.
