Ingrid Bucksell

Senior Investigator, Public Safety

As a senior investigator, Ingrid provides assistance to supervisory personnel in leading other staff in planning, organizing, initiating and conducting highly effective investigations, and plans and conducts investigations using ingenuity, independence, and the ability to adapt the investigative plan to meet unanticipated developments.

Before joining ODCA in 2023, Ingrid started in 1997 as a call taker with DC-911. She was promoted through the ranks to Chief of 911—the first woman to hold that position in the Office of Unified Communications—then joined the OUC executive team as a communications specialist. Ingrid brings 29 years of D.C. government experience to ODCA, 26 of those years in public safety.

She completed Cohort 26 Certified Public Manager Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt program in partnership with The George Washington University and D.C. Human Resources. Ingrid is now certified as an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEOC) counselor and sexual harassment officer.

When not working to improve the economy, efficiency, and accountability of the District government, Ingrid enjoys family game nights, music, traveling, cooking, shopping and most importantly enjoying and exploring life. Ingrid loves to help and mentor.
